Welcome to our very own blog. To begin, W279 is a family, and is a part of City Harvest Church. We belong to KEL Zone, led by Lay ZS Kelvin. And KEL Zone is under a dynamic pastor, Pastor Zhuang. W279 consists of an ordinary yet unique bunch of people who are learning to be simple, true worshippers. We are a diverse mix of people... as young as 10, till as YOUNG as 25 (and above). We are all about Simplicity as we believe that simplicity is life, at best.
The purpose of this blog is to serve as a virtual place where the members of W279 can connect efficiently with one another, and even, inspire the world out there. Join us, you will love us. WE ARE FAMILY.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT (ALL MUST READ)
building up from various cg/service sermons the past few weeks, this is really a season whereby God is drawing us as a cell group to go back to the foundation of knowing God and loving His Word. More than just being hearers of the Word, lets really be doers - and of such, Cyn & Kel have decided to start a 'Spiritual Thermometer Report' System, to keep track of all of our spiritual lives.
It is in fact, something many of us used to be involved in years back, whereby we'll faithfully submit and report to our cgl our prayer time/bible reading progress. And by doing this, we grew stronger in our walk with God.
How does this Spiritual Thermometer System work?
Starting from THIS WEEK, we'll be looking into these two important things, whereby YOU have to faithfully and personally report and update us on a DAILY BASIS (Meaning, EVERYDAY):
1. YOUR PRAYER LIFE: Prayer time - How many minutes/hours you have prayed/will pray today? (E.g. 15 minutes, 45 minutes...)
2. YOUR WORD LIFE: Bible-reading chapters - Which specific book and chapters you have/will read today? (E.g. Matthew Ch 1-5, Psalms 50 - 60 etc.)
Starting from today (Wednesday 12 Nov), can all of you SMS and update me (EMILY) FAITHFULLY on these two things, everyday by 10pm?
And to add, EVERYONE is involved in this as long as you are part of W279. Even the CGCS ourselves will be personally reporting to Cyn & Kel directly DAILY.
Don't be pressurized, but lets not also regard this as yet another casual thing or system to follow. The purpose of this whole system is to help us grow as a CG to be serious about our daily walk with God. PRAYER and WORD life are two important areas of our Christian life, which should already be a daily-lifestyle. :) BUT It's never too late to start.... it takes just a decision!
So dear W279, can I trust you to be faithful and INITIATIVE to update me everyday? I'd need your cooperation because I'll be submitting your reports to Cyn & Kel on a daily basis too. If not, at your own risk, be PREPARED to have your inbox flooded by ME personally. I'll be chasing you wherever you are, for sure! :)
Lets UP our prayer and word life! It is gonna be an EXCITING season of growth!
