Welcome to our very own blog. To begin, W279 is a family, and is a part of City Harvest Church. We belong to KEL Zone, led by Lay ZS Kelvin. And KEL Zone is under a dynamic pastor, Pastor Zhuang. W279 consists of an ordinary yet unique bunch of people who are learning to be simple, true worshippers. We are a diverse mix of people... as young as 10, till as YOUNG as 25 (and above). We are all about Simplicity as we believe that simplicity is life, at best.

retreat!
Dearest FAMILY:
Kel & I will be off to Johor Bahru for a retreat with Pastor Kong & some of the pastors from tomorrow till Thursday! Do keep us in prayers :) We are excited and looking forward to a fruitful time and to come back recharged! Thankee!
Meantime, do note that U-TRIBE outing to UBIN is the coming SUNDAY (DEC 6)!

The weekend ahead :)
Heya loves!
This weekend's services with Pastor Casey Treat will be a blast. His testimony, sharing and preaching will bless your precious hearts!
Keep on with the daily prayer and reading of the WORD. Remember to update your "spiritual thermometer" (which you have received @ CGM). I pray all your "temperatures" are measuring well ;) Submit them to Emily this Sat, and Kel and I will definitely read every segment of it.
Sunday's CGM will be a good time of fun, bonding and encounters too.
And we miss all you dear ones who aren't in SG now. Be back soon. Be safe.

I've been receiving the updates from MOST of you (90%) ... just wanna say, keep up the good work!
Just wanna encourage you guys ... when reading the Bible, try to read more than a chapter because you need to give room and time for the Holy Spirit to give you a revelation from His Word! When you just rush through for the sake of completing your "part" for today ... it's not gonna benefit you. Likewise, for your prayer time.
I am certain you will encounter GOD!
It's gonna be a great weekend. Keep your hearts open to the Holy Spirit!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT (ALL MUST READ)
building up from various cg/service sermons the past few weeks, this is really a season whereby God is drawing us as a cell group to go back to the foundation of knowing God and loving His Word. More than just being hearers of the Word, lets really be doers - and of such, Cyn & Kel have decided to start a 'Spiritual Thermometer Report' System, to keep track of all of our spiritual lives.
It is in fact, something many of us used to be involved in years back, whereby we'll faithfully submit and report to our cgl our prayer time/bible reading progress. And by doing this, we grew stronger in our walk with God.
How does this Spiritual Thermometer System work?
Starting from THIS WEEK, we'll be looking into these two important things, whereby YOU have to faithfully and personally report and update us on a DAILY BASIS (Meaning, EVERYDAY):
1. YOUR PRAYER LIFE: Prayer time - How many minutes/hours you have prayed/will pray today? (E.g. 15 minutes, 45 minutes...)
2. YOUR WORD LIFE: Bible-reading chapters - Which specific book and chapters you have/will read today? (E.g. Matthew Ch 1-5, Psalms 50 - 60 etc.)
Starting from today (Wednesday 12 Nov), can all of you SMS and update me (EMILY) FAITHFULLY on these two things, everyday by 10pm?
And to add, EVERYONE is involved in this as long as you are part of W279. Even the CGCS ourselves will be personally reporting to Cyn & Kel directly DAILY.
Don't be pressurized, but lets not also regard this as yet another casual thing or system to follow. The purpose of this whole system is to help us grow as a CG to be serious about our daily walk with God. PRAYER and WORD life are two important areas of our Christian life, which should already be a daily-lifestyle. :) BUT It's never too late to start.... it takes just a decision!
So dear W279, can I trust you to be faithful and INITIATIVE to update me everyday? I'd need your cooperation because I'll be submitting your reports to Cyn & Kel on a daily basis too. If not, at your own risk, be PREPARED to have your inbox flooded by ME personally. I'll be chasing you wherever you are, for sure! :)
Lets UP our prayer and word life! It is gonna be an EXCITING season of growth!
