Welcome to our very own blog. To begin, W279 is a family, and is a part of City Harvest Church. We belong to KEL Zone, led by Lay ZS Kelvin. And KEL Zone is under a dynamic pastor, Pastor Zhuang. W279 consists of an ordinary yet unique bunch of people who are learning to be simple, true worshippers. We are a diverse mix of people... as young as 10, till as YOUNG as 25 (and above). We are all about Simplicity as we believe that simplicity is life, at best. The purpose of this blog is to serve as a virtual place where the members of W279 can connect efficiently with one another, and even, inspire the world out there. Join us, you will love us. WE ARE FAMILY.

Something To Share
Hello guys,
Liming here. Haha! Just want to share this with you guys. Yesterday I was on bus 67. The bus was very crowded and I was standing in a corner. I was in a lousy mood as the journey was very long and my bag was very heavy. There are several elderly on the bus and some students were sitting near them. They are (pretending to?) sleeping or just idle, none of them gave his seat to the elderly. Then an old and frail lady came on the bus and she almost fell down when the bus jerked. A middle-aged man gave his seat to her and immediately afterwards a youth also stood up and allowed an old woman to sit down. I felt touched by the gesture of the middle-aged man. He also provided a good example to the youths. Ask yourself: Do you give up your seats to the elderly, or hold the lift/door for the physically weak? Are you afraid that others will consider you as "extra" or worse still, pretending to be nice? Truthfully speaking, sometimes I do have such concerns but I have overcame them. I am not in the position to judge anyone but please, besides being a faithful Christian, also show care for others around you. Be a kind person not only in Church but also in other places. Let the love flow. God Bless You! |
