Welcome to our very own blog. To begin, W279 is a family, and is a part of City Harvest Church. We belong to KEL Zone, led by Lay ZS Kelvin. And KEL Zone is under a dynamic pastor, Pastor Zhuang. W279 consists of an ordinary yet unique bunch of people who are learning to be simple, true worshippers. We are a diverse mix of people... as young as 10, till as YOUNG as 25 (and above). We are all about Simplicity as we believe that simplicity is life, at best.

The purpose of this blog is to serve as a virtual place where the members of W279 can connect efficiently with one another, and even, inspire the world out there. Join us, you will love us. WE ARE FAMILY.

A big hello to all earthlings who have been faithfully dropping by. The page is currently blank because we've switched to a new blog spot account. Members, do ask for the new user/pw!

So what has been happening in W27-46? Restless, quiet and bumming around after A.C?

No way!

Most recent highlights of the week:

1)
PRAWNING - 24th November, the day after A.C

It all started with a casual remark mentioned while a few members were out to fellowship at Chinatown together with our two leaders.

Kelvin: "Let's go PRAWNING!" (10p.m, while walking towards The Central)
Wei yang & Shyang zhi: "Huh! What?"
Cynthia: "You're trying to be funny eh?"
Karuna: "Yesssss! Prawning! Let's go prawning!"
Cynthia: "Ha, okay la, I don't mind actually."

And so we went.

The cold and dark road to Animal Farm at 12 a.m.

Our main 'Fisherman' of the day: Waiting and believing, while stone'ing!

It was a funny sight to see how our 'fishers of men' were so actively and enthusiastically moving around with the rod attempting to catch some prawns and.... ended up catching none. It was even funnier to see how the many other 'prawners' present were sitting down patiently without any moving-around, all cool and calm, and yet their harvest were plentiful and constantly increasing.

The cruelty of mankind in action (Left) - Shyangzhi, chopping off the head of a fish he caught, while laughing. :/

In case you're wondering what the rest of us were doing while not contributing anything to the harvest: Weiyang, in his reflective mood, was penning down his thoughts after A.C (left) while the girls were either sitting and watching or.... taking photos! (right)

We resorted to eating prawn crackers instead of real prawns simply due to.. the lack of real prawns! Thanks to Zhaowei, who suddenly disappeared and then came back shortly after with a bagful of snacks and drinks. :)

But still, but still! We did not leave the place empty-handed. We managed to capture five prawns, not exactly pathetic... just that only two were the true fruits of our labour because the three others were abandoned by other people, and which we conveniently took.

Still, a big kudos to all our 'fishermen' - Kelvin, Wei yang, Karuna & Shyangzhi!

A great and unforgetful Monday night-out, it was! :)

;

More to come, and here's what you'll be expecting in the the next 1-2 days:

2) A wild and vain night at Church ( 29th november, just yesterday!)

3) Our hiking trip to Macritchie Reservoir (30th November - today!) - Which will also be updated by our dearest Karuna!

That's all for now, so stay tuned!

Signing off,
Emily
